Very disappointing customer service. After 3 e-mails and 2 phone calls, I got no help whatsoever with returning a gift for which I had the store’s gift receipt and shipping label. However, because the shipment arrived without an order # - Williams-Sonoma’s fault - it will not accept the return, so now I am stuck with keeping a gift I don’t want and won’t use.

I used to shop a lot at this store. It was one of my favorite shops but I will not be shopping there again. Today, I had the worst shopping experience I've ever had at this store. A year ago, I bought a two-piece Green Pan set and loved its quality. Yesterday I went there bought the same item again. This time, when i brought it home, I found that the quality of one of the two pans was exceptionally worse, instead of glossy, it was matte and felt greasy. I used soap water to wash it, still matte. I took it to the shop today, the store manager Atesh Kant tried washing it too but the pan stayed matt and greasy. Even though the difference was noticeable, he denied that there was anything wrong and undisputedly refused to exchange it. At the end his attitude become very arrogant and from how it looked, he surely didn't care if customers will come again or not. I was shocked and angry. I didn't expect the manager of a high-end store to be so sly and unreasonable. He didn't even want to provide me with an explanation or an excuse to why the pan's quality was so different. I didn't expect it is so difficult to exchange in this store, not even to mention returns. I am a long time customer of Williams Sonoma and I was extremely disappointed in their service today. I will not be coming again.

The store itself is pretty enough and offers good quality items but the customer service is the worst I’ve ever experienced in my life. And I’m not exaggerating. They didn’t have a complete set of dish ware in stock so they CHARGED me to have the missing items brought in. A restocking fee. Isn’t that a normal part of owning a business that you ensure you have the product a customer wants to buy? And I was spending more than $1,000! I had to pay up front, then my order was cancelled REPEATEDLY by head office. I kept getting messages that my items were no longer being delivered as my order was cancelled. I had to deal with store staff (very unhelpful) head office staff, pretty much useless, and go online numerous times to try and get dishes I had paid for more than a month ago. Store staff couldn’t have cared less. Head office gave me bad information and I once waited 20 minutes on the phone as the sales associate tried, unsuccessfully, to log into the computer (apparently they have an old system). In the end it took close to three months to receive the product, in fits and starts, and I even had to go back to the store twice to pick up items I had paid to have delivered. One time I arrived and they couldn’t find the package in the store though I had been phoned by store staff and told to pick it up. Horrendous. Only buy what they have in stock. Save yourselves a lot of grief!
